In our ski school, children aged 3–12 can start a fun winter hobby in our 10-week ski courses.
For the youngest (3-year-olds), we offer a special 3-week mini course in January. Below you’ll find the 2026 course schedule with daily options. All 10-session courses start in January and continue until March. These longer courses are part of the GrIFK Alpine club’s activities, and all participants also become club members. After the ski school, children can naturally continue in one of the club’s various training groups. More detailed course descriptions can be found on this page.

SCHEDULE EXCEPTIONS
During the winter holiday (week 8), long courses take a break — instead, we organize ski camps (information available in November).
EQUIPMENT RENTAL
You can easily rent all necessary equipment from our rental shop. Please read our instructions carefully before booking!
Course Descriptions
MINIWERNERI (ages 3–4)
Note: This course lasts only 3 weeks.
Designed for the youngest skiers. Children learn to balance on skis, glide, and use the snowplow stance. The goal is to make one snowplow turn in each direction. Each session lasts 45 minutes, with about 30 minutes of active skiing.
3 weeks × 45 min, once a week: €89
LUMIWERNERI (Beginner Course)
For ages 4–5 and 6+.
LumiWerneri is for first-time skiers learning to ski independently and use the lift. No previous experience is required. Participants must turn 4 during the course.
10 weeks × 50 min, once a week: €269
VAUHTIWERNERI 1 (Intermediate Course)
For ages 4–6 and 7+.
For children who have completed LumiWerneri or have equivalent skills. Skiers can already snowplow, turn, control speed, and use the beginner lift. The goal is to learn parallel skiing.

VAUHTIWERNERI 2 (Advanced Intermediate Course)
For confident young skiers who want to further develop their technique. The course introduces the basics of gate skiing and freestyle.

TAITOWERNERI (ages 6–12)
For children who already ski well (no snowplow). The course focuses on technical skiing, basic gate training, and freestyle elements. It provides the foundation for joining the club’s race or freestyle training groups.

WERNER’S GATE SCHOOL
A recreational-level gate training group for children and youth, coached by the club’s experienced instructors. You can choose one or two sessions per week.

FREESTYLE SCHOOL
For children and youth who want to develop their freestyle skiing or snowboarding skills. The course includes tricks, jumps, and balance training.

SNOWBOARD GROUPS
Beginner Course (ages 6+)
For beginners with no previous experience. Learn slope safety, lift use, and the basics of snowboarding.

Intermediate Course
For riders who already know the basics, can turn smoothly, and use the lift independently. Focus on improving technique, confidence, and carving turns.
